Reseat the monitor cable. Trained service technician videl Replace the system board. The IMM remote presence function is disabled if you install an optional video adapter. Make sure that damaged server firmware is not affecting the video; see Updating the firmware. The application program is not setting a display mode that is higher than the capability of the monitor. The screen is blank. The server is turned on. Observe the checkpoint LEDs on the system board; if the codes are changing, go to step 6.
Unfortunately, I never took the effort the configure the IMM. Some IBM monitors have their own self-tests. If you cannot diagnose the problem, call for service. I picked up this server at an auction from a ibbm bankruptcy.

The monitor works when you turn on the server, but the screen goes blank when you start some application programs. Email Required, but never shown.
The monitor cables are connected correctly. If the wrong language is displayed, update the server firmware to the latest level see Updating the firmware with the correct language.
Go to the IBM support website at IBM Support Portal to check for technical information, hints, tips, and new device drivers or to submit a request for information. The manual describes you can reset it from the server itself but since it won’t boot, I’m stuck.
To use the IMM remote presence function, remove the optional video adapter. Sign up or log in Sign up using Google. But still no video. The monitor has screen jitter, or the screen image is wavy, unreadable, rolling, or distorted. Follow the suggested actions in the order in which they are listed in the Action column until the problem is solved.
